Tyler Williams, better known by his stage name Tai, is a singer, songwriter, and producer hailing from New York City. In a tenor voice, he delivers lyrics about his love for women and passion for music with a skill set of vocals that are smooth and cleverly arranged into his mid tempo tracks. Tai's main focus is to redefine and reshape the edges of Contemporary urban R&B by using inspiration drawn from the great artists before him. With the release of his EP entitled, “That Love Shit” (TLS), Tai expresses the ups and downs of past relationships while exploring the realm of seduction that comes with being a bachelor searching for new love. Capturing the essences of the two spectrums of the love process was a 9-month undertaking that took Tai to new levels of creativity. With the exception of only a couple of tracks produced by upcoming producers, The Amazinz and Artist/Extraordinaire Bentley, the TLS project was solely written, produced, and performed by Tai, in effort of introducing himself to the R&B world as more than a singer. Releasing TLS has allowed Tai to enter the R&B world as an artist with more than one ability, highlighting his exceptional writing and producing capabilities. This album is the beginning of Tai’s journey as a musical artist and his sights are set on nothing but opportunity and success.

I won't pass my usual judgment on Lil B 'till I've heard this in its entirety. Homie's taught me to expect the least, and sometimes I get much more than that. So at some point after We$tside 2, and around the corner from Section.80, this might get a listen, which is when I'll stop refraining from comment.

 

 

Within the last year 18-year producer Thelonious Martin has truly made his mark with his instrumental LP's. Growing into his own sound he has progressed from his prior projects. This being his 7th beat tape within the last year, Thelonious although young, is showing a work ethic that really is remarkable. This new project is a testament to the long late nights, random adventures past 12AM, and hours spent watching [Adult Swim]. Truly inspired by the bumps in between shows Thelonious Martin puts his own twist on the soundtrack to late night adventures.

Out of nowhere, yesterday, one of my favorite producers No I.D. dropped The Pursuit EP, credited to the Cocaine 80's, which consists of him, Common Sense, and a host of other contributors that include Rob Kinelski, James Fauntleroy, and Makeba. Man, when stuff like this happens, you don't ask questions. Just listen and download.

Considering this isn't set to be on Spitta's June 28th release Weekend At Burnie's, I won't pull the stream only move. But go get the aforementioned project in 8 days, homie doesn't disappoint.

While it would've been cool and marketable for Gangsta Gibbs to drop his long awaited Cold As Hell project on his birthday, with Random Axe, Hell: The Sequel and Royal Flush 2 all dropping today, it was smart of him and his camp over at CTE to hold back on that, whether it was for that reason or not. Meanwhile, DJ Roc put together a certified Freddie tape for us to make Gucci bucket faces to, brought to us by our friends over at Fakeshore, until Jeezy's newest signee comes out with that literal and metaphorical fire. I guess a Dom collabo was his apology for not dropping the project today. Apology accepted.

Sosa has recently released his third project,"Rhyme & Noodles: NO ARTIFICIAL Flavoring Vol. 2". He has been featured on MTV2, HipHopDX, ThisIs50, Essence, Star & Buckwild, Urban Latino Magazine, and  Lenny S.'s Round Table just to mention a few. For the past year he's been touring and performing all across the east coast at festivals, colleges, radio stations, and venues to keep his name in the public. Just this month, Sosa will be performing alongside a few G.O.O.D. Music artist in days to come outside of NYC as well as in state. Although Sos' has had a lot of notoriety, he's still remains a indie artist trying to climb the ladder to gain new listeners. I definitely think the project is worth a download so click that link.
