Ahh, nothin' like a good ol' Clipse & Neptunes collab on a Tuesday eh? As you all pore over your iPods & repeatedly press the back button anytime Wolves In Sheep Clothing or My God is about to finish, remember that time Loso & your neighborhood Pusha jumped on the same track. Circa 2002. Lord Willin'. This is the Fab I'm hoping shows up on this upcoming S.O.U.L. mixtape. And well, P is P. Fear Of God coming not soon enough.
"Had undercovers & po', recoverin' slow
The government know, the kid been lovin' the dough
Since I was movin' white off the curb, like shovelin' snow."

P.S. - Solid Malice verse to boot. His bookHow You Sign My Brother And Not Me Wretched, Pitiful, Poor, Blind & Naked should be dropping sooner rather than later.

Such an appropriate title for these artists. So much coke on this track.

The younger brother of the Clipse has a mixtape coming out September 14th called Fear of God. This beat is perfect for him by the way. Shouts to info.

Skateboard P speaks to MTV about being on everybody's upcoming projects this year. I'm hype about him working with Drake, J. Cole and everyone else but I need more Allures in my life.
The Clipse: "I'm not sure what their plans are. Whatever they wanna do, we're always 100 percent onboard to help. They wanted to make a super street record for the last album, that's what we did. You know what it is about Pusha? He can make radio records if he wants. But what you have to love about the guy because he's such an artist, he wants to make 'Popular Demand' all day long. He wants to make that all day long. Listen, all Pusha wants to do is drive in a CL 600 drop, make 'Popular Demand' all day and count money. He may be mad at me for saying that, but it's really all I think about when I think about him. There's so many other aspects to his life, but the guy, that's what he likes. That's why in my opinion he has some of the most venomous 16's. His 16's are crazy, because of his affinity for spending money, fast cars and rap."
On Drake: "We have [worked with him]. It was a great record."
On the Game: "It was crazy, because you walk in the studio and it's 15 to 20 7-foot dudes. All of his friends are giants. I'm in there like Webster. Like Emmanuel Lewis, looking up at everybody like, 'Yeah, OK, cool.' It was kinda otherworldly. Except me and my engineer, we're the only two regular humans. These guys are like giants. But the most creative sessions ever."
On Rick Ross: "Puff just said something to me last night [about Ross' album]. You can only imagine where that's going. Great places."
On Jay-Z: "The guy is 40 and had a #1 record, and he sold more records than anybody in hip-hop at the time his album came out. And it's still selling. The one thing we're allowed to say [about our new collaboration] is he and I said that we're sworn to secrecy."
He only said he's been in studio sessions with J. Cole. Read more about Asher Roth, Fat Joe and his own projects over at MTV.
We caught up with the Clipse and asked them a couple of questions while they was at the University of Michigan.
Go cop Til The Casket Drops.
UBIQ was proud to host The Clipse at our Walnut St store in Philadelphia in support of Play Cloths and their new album. We sat down and talked with them about fashion, music, and what they have in store for all of us in 2010.
They speak about Play Cloths.
“[Pharrell will] love something and I’ll be like, ‘Yo, who is that moving,’ and it’ll be good, but…like, ‘That ain’t disrupting radio,’” Pusha explained. “And then we’ll get into, ‘Yo, it ain’t this record’ or ‘It ain’t that record.’ Then an argument ensues and he’ll tell everybody to get out the studio…and he’ll come back 40 minutes later with something, like ‘If you don’t take this I’m calling Hov, right now, I’ma call him. And he gonna take this, it’s gonna be the biggest record ever… I’m calling Puff.’ He’ll name any name that he just knows will get under my skin when I hear that they got something good that we should have.”
The Clipse are among street rap’s elite and inadvertent streetwear style icons so it’s only right that SL sat down with them to talk about their new album, their clothing line PlayCloths, and soaking up game from Pharrell and Nigo
