In the Midwest a popular slang when referring to one of your friends is “fam”. I was sitting in the studio with my producer Reason, vibing and instantly the words “Haha! Fam you funny” came to my mind for the chorus. I set out to make a song that could be used as an anthem for the Midwest to rally around. The chorus is strong, because I managed to shout out most of the major cities in the Midwest. Although there are some hard times and harsh conditions, we have to survive and we are still out here getting ours.

A few weeks prior to actually recording this song, I met and developed a relationship with popular Chicago artist Mikkey Halsted and his manager Javin Foreman. Being that I wanted this song to be the Midwest battle cry, I asked Mikkey to jump on the song. Just so happened the homie Que Billah was in the studio that day with Mikkey and Javin, and was ready to contribute a verse as well.

This song is dedicated to all the hard working people, hustlers and those struggling to get by day-by-day in the Midwest region.
