Jay-Z Speaks on Nets' Move To Brooklyn

Posted by Cris Copastetik On Friday, March 12, 2010 0 comments

Bumbass team in BK. Go figure.

“What I stand here and represent is hope for Brooklyn, New York City. I’m a son of Brooklyn, I’m from Marcy projects.” Jay said. “I think about growing up in Brooklyn in the Marcy projects and shooting jump shots, thinking I can make it to the NBA. Now I stand here as an owner of team that’s coming back to Brooklyn. The pride in that, and bringing that dream so much closer for people, brings me so much pride I get a little nervous about it. But I’m very happy, very excited about this day. And we did it again Brooklyn — shout out to [Notorious] B.I.G.”

Jay-Z & Alicia Keys To Perform @ World Series' Opening Game

Posted by Cris Copastetik On Monday, October 26, 2009 0 comments

“First of all, the new [Yankee] Stadium — it’s the Yankees and it’s game one of the World Series,” Jay said while promoting his “DJ Hero: Renegade Edition” video game, which sees him teamed up with Eminem. The Yanks happen to be Hov’s favorite baseball team.

“I’m beyond excited about it, and on top of that, it’s a New York record. It’s a record that pays homage to New York. The timing of that couldn’t be better,” Hov enthused.

Jay said his spot at game one has been in place for several days — all he needed was for the Yankees to wrap things up against the Los Angeles Angels.

“The whole time we knew we had the performance,” Jay laughed. “We knew we had the performance last week. I think it was 3-1 [in favor of the Yankees] at the time. [The Yankees] lost that game to make it 3-2. I was like, ‘Man!’ I had to come in [the stadium] with the stage and all that. I was like, ‘Man, these guys gotta come on.’ It was almost selfish.”

New Yoooooooork. You Philly niggas is cheese steak. Yankees in 6, who wanna bet?

Philadelphia Eagles sign Mike Vick

Michael Vick signs 2 yr deal with Philly.. He'll most likely be a backup behind Donovan McNabb but will it work?

I wont say I feel about what he did but it would've been hilarious if he signed with the Browns
