With his buzz constantly rising daily, a lot of fans of The Weeknd have been wondering when he would be performing in the US & just our luck, his debut performance will be next week in NYC.
"Infamously elusive Canadian R&B act the Weeknd will make their U.S. live debut next week. Frontman Abel Tesfaye-- and whomever he decides to bring with him-- are headlining Vice's first annual Upfront Extravaganza on September 15 at Skylight One Hanson in New York. A slew of other bands and DJs including A-Trak, Tanlines, Unknown Mortal Orchestra, Yeah Yeah Yeahs' Nick Zinner, and Black Lips will also appear at the event. The party celebrates the launch of VICE.com.
So far, the Weeknd has only performed live in their hometown of Toronto, including an appearance at Drake's starpowered OVO Festival in July."
