DealWithNoDeal Turns 2 Years Old Today..

Posted by Cris Copastetik On Saturday, July 09, 2011

2 years ago today, Yung Nate and B/A dropped a free album on 2dopeboyz called Deal With No Deal. Charles Hamilton had disappeared that June but that didn't stop Nate, B/A, Show TuFli and the rest of the ex Demevolist members from building their buzz and fanbase online. Nate figured he'd start a company and a media outlet to accompany his music. It originally started up as a blog and 2 years later we find ourselves here with new members, a lot of original content, many supporters and a solid foundation for all of us. I figured we could use a post like this where all of our members speak. I really don't have too much to say but I'm glad we're still here and we're more relevant than ever. I'll just take my time to thank everyone who's ever been apart of DealWithNoDeal. Government names and all that.

Nathaniel Mussington, thank you for trusting me with the site and allowing me to run things now. I'm glad I can still come to you for advice and help when needed. Tori Cheyenne Jackson, thank you for being a good friend. Though we bump heads and you're no longer apart of the site, its still love. I'm glad you're working hard and got your P.R. internship. Khari Nixon, thank you for knowing music and everything you've done with DWND Radio and the site. Its a lot to name. Shenae Craig, thank you for going hard for the site as best as you can and throwing ideas at me every single day. Ciara Bowen, thank you for all of the promotion, ideas and overall support of the site and you are DWND. Katherine Polanco, thank you for being an amazing writer and fashion editor and assuring me we don't need anyone else. Troi Williams, thank you for coming back from Buffalo, being a dope photographer and working hard on your craft. Every video is better than the last.

I could go on and on with names and things that everyone has done for the site but I want to thank everyone who has ever talked me out of quitting when things got tough, everyone I look up to in my field, all of our affiliates and peers, all of the artists and designers we've posted, all of our supporters (Word to Curry's timeline), the FNS crew, #speedoflightbloglife, etc. Its all love. Thank you. (I'm not writing all this shit next year though b.) - Cris Copastetik

Its been a great 9 months and its gonna be a shitload of fun for the next few years. I remember meeting w/ Copastetik in Harlem (of course) last October and we had a vision of what DWND could become, and here it is developing right before our eyes. Everybody who even so much as tweeted the 4 letters "DWND" or went so far as in to tell their friends about us, you're greatly appreciated, and we're grateful. This is the music that saved my life, and hopefully enlightens yours. Let's take over. - K. Van Gogh

Today in 2009 , I was sitting in Texas at my aunts house bored to death while running a small music blog with Khari. Now, two years later I'm part of one of the best upcoming hip hop site with a great team of people with amazing supporters and feeling like I'm getting closer to my dreams. I've only been a part of DWND for 9 months and its been the best 9 months of my life from meeting/interviewing people & going to different events. The support we get daily is overwhelming & still surprises me everyday from retweets, to people putting our link around & recommending it to others. As a whole, we all appreciate everyone.
The only way to go from here is up . - Shenae aka "Curry"

As visionaries of our generation, DealwithnoDeal.net has been an amazing platform to showcase our dreams and dedication to writing, music, fashion and any form of art. Blogging and creating websites has turned into a fad, but we at DWND stand apart from the rest. Because even if you hold the talent of achieving greatness you have to have the hustle, dedication and desire to be able to set yourself apart from others. The voices behind DWND radio, Shenae and Khari, the Editor in Chief, Cris Copastetik and Fashion and Art Editor, Caramel Cocaine are more than just bloggers. More than just a team, DWND is a family. And we are elated to have been a platform to those who had a desire of showcasing their own dreams and aspirations. Thank you for providing support. - Caramel Cocaine

Thank you to everyone. Its appreciated. I promise we have a lot more in store for the next 12 months.

Swag.
