Creativity is becoming an inventive soul. One who experiments, takes risks, makes mistakes and invents all while having fun. Henry David Thoreau once said, “the world is but a canvas to the imagination.” ...So all that's left to us is to paint the world with our creativity.
And I’ve found creativity in the 21 year old Harlem native Andre Steinberg. He’s designer and owner of Eyewear Clothing. Aside from designing his own clothing, he’s a photographer and editor who develops and designs websites along with recording and editing film ... The go to graphic designer.
I enjoy his pieces of clothing because it doesn’t need a slogan or words for you to understand it. It just says everything you need to know with the single use of the initial “eye” and other groups of images that in some cases are even comical.

(i bone chicks)“I've always been creative, for as long as I can remember... I’ve been involved in drawing and designing for a while. I would force myself to learn to draw and not trace super heroes or cartoons that I liked. I had a painting I did when I was about 12 and it was auctioned off.”
Dre is apart of a non- profit organization, “Brotherhood Sista Sol” and at 14 he became involved in a touring exhibition dealing with youth activism in New York. While on this tour he was exposed to a designers work environment where he was given this influence that led him to want to walk down the path of becoming a designer.
His inspirations come from many aspects including but not subject to contempary artists and designers from Kyle Kesterson, Steven Lopez, Squeezes to D ferg, Wiz kalihfa, and J.Cole.
“But mainly I inspire myself, I try to push the envelop and think out side the box.”
When I asked Andre about his future endeavors I heard the most inspiring thing... He hasn’t set a goal for his work. Why ? Because he wants it to be never ending.
“I have an unlimited metro card in the design world I'm trying to venture off and explore everything that it has to offer me and I want to show the world everything I have to offer to it...”
