Persistence does pay off, and Mike Classic is a prime example of this. The Queens native has consistently emailed the site and instead of simply doing a post of his music we felt that this up-and-coming rapper deserved a "Spotlight". After listening to the 4 songs he sent, it's a shame we didn't spotlight him before. He goes hard and as he stated he retains his humbleness. He obviously has a love of hip hop and good music, his tracks represent that. Hope to hear more from this dude.

My favorite song has to be "Transformers" but honestly, all of his songs deserve a listen. Has to be some of the best material we've gotten in the inbox yet.

Coming from the same High school that boasts such rappers as Charles Hamilton, Yung Nate, SHow TuFli, and B/A, Taahir Jacques has utilized the studio that became home him to many an inspiring rapper. In an effort to find his creative outlet, Jacques (who is only 17), has done both the singing "thing" as well as taken piano lessons only to find that hip hop is his true passion. This young kid from Brooklyn is sure to get better with age & time...

Every so often we spotlight an artist who we feel has promise and the dealwithnodeal.com drive, and my pick this time 'round is Seth Narley, 20, a rapper straight outta the BX!! I met this dude at a cookout last year having known about him from his song with SHow TuFli "Privacy in Public" and "On My Way to School". He's the nephew of big time Latino singer Tito Nieves so music runs in his veins. He gave up a higher education at Laguardia College because he felt music was what he was destined to do. His first mixtape will be called "Live from Soho" and I cant wait to hear more from this dude!!!
