While at Big Tune, DJ Toomp was one of the special guests. Was I going to pass up the chance to interview a multi-platinum producer who has produced some of my favorite T.I. records among others? Never. Toomp was one of the coolest people I've met. He's not on some Hollywood stuff. After the show, we went outside to do this interview.

One of the things people don't know is DJ Toomp goes way back to the 80's with MC Sha D and 2 Live Crew. I had to ask what his best experience touring with them was and then what has kept him relevant for over 20 years in the game. We lead into production such as his personal favorite records he's produced, if the environment affects the type of beats he makes and how involved he likes to be in his records. One of the best moments is when he talks about beats that artists have passed up like T.I.'s "What You Know" being passed up by one of ATL's most known. Finally, I ask him about the possibility of a DJ Toomp album to which he reveals he's been working on it silently.
