Give me a break…..what’s crazy about that, you can see on that same footage, when they asked about my name, they still don’t really have a direct answer. And that ain’t gangster at all. If you really have an issue put it on the table and handle it like a G. Walking down Collins Ave…You played yourself, you’ll get that took from you.”

Complex: Where did the whole attitude shift towards Wale stem from?
Kid Cudi: I really don’t understand what’s up with this guy, but he’s just somebody I don’t click with anymore. I started making changes in my life and started to realize positive energy around me, and he never really had a good energy. I never felt like he wanted to see me prosper, it was just one of those niggas that was envious rather than happy for a nigga. I could be reading it wrong, but I’m not making beef and rearranging my life. It’s pretty obvious he feels some type of way about it. I’m not into peer mediation and working things out, I’m just trying to provide for my daughter and my family and making music for my fans. I vibe with certain people and some people I don’t.
Complex: Last September you shot a page for GQ’s Man of the Year issue with him and Drake; was everything cool then?
Kid Cudi: The whole time me and him and Drake were doing the GQ shoot,Wale was bitching and being aggravated that clothes weren’t in his size, just really not cooperating and being difficult, and just being a diva. The photographer was like, “Wale, c’mon, smile a bit” and he was like, “Man, I don’t smile, let these other guys smile.” I was like, what kind of shit is that? In my head I’m thinking “man, this is GQ. If these niggas want you to smile, smile. We just got picked for “Men of the Year” that shit is awesome. It’s wack to be on that shit when you’re at a photoshoot, he shouldn’t be getting all riled up. There was tension throughout the whole shoot. Me and Drake have a rapport, we’re cool. We were automatically hitting it off, and kicking it, and just Wale was not trying to be in the situation. He was trying to be too cool. He was acting like he’s too good for the situation, and that’s how he always is. He always acts like he’s bigger than what he is, and I don’t fuck with that at all.
Complex: I see…
Kid Cudi: I always kept quiet when he used to say his little things, say his slick shit in the interview. Even the song we were supposed to do. Man there was never a song that we were supposed to do. He heard a record and wanted it. It wasn’t meant for him to hear it, some bosses were talking. I just don’t understand how niggas get too big for their britches. I don’t get it. I don’t know it. Even at the GQ shoot he was sending little shots, talking about my skinny jeans, and saying Cudi’s size is “Schmedum” trying to be funny. But I’m a goofball and a comedian, and was just joking, because he’s harmless to me, I don’t see him as a threat in any way shape or form, he’s just someone who has a chip on his shoulder. I have no ill will towards dude, I want to see him prosper, I wish that we could make records, however I’m not going to feed into the bullshit, and I’m not going to be around people who I don’t feel right around. And when you start going talking about me in records, the silence has to be broken. I have to defend myself and talk about what it really is and show my side. You going to put me in your art, now it’s like you’re thinking about me, and I’m not thinking about you. It’s not like last year, I’m in another place. And if I was to think about reconciling, he’s probably talked so much shit about me, it’s too late to renege on anything. The guy obviously feels type of way. I just got done getting off some coke shit, real problems. Competition, freshman class, that shit is last year, we ain’t on that. I’m not in any class, I dropped out. I got my GED, I’m good. There’s no more categorizing competition, there’s no competition. I laid my pavement on my own road, and I have my crew of fans that follow, I have my own 104-thousand first week of fans that are right there with me. I’m happy with that. That nigga want to be #1, that’s why he has that song [Number Won]. Like I like being #2, #2 never gets old, it’s a solidified spot, #1 changes all the time. You always remember that one nigga that’s the ill myth in the underground scene, and the nigga that you heard about with classic joints but hasn’t had mainstream success but you respect him as an artist. I’ll be that nigga.

Complex: Speaking of Wale, when you hit that fan at your show last December, he came out with a line about it ["Throwin' 'round wallets like the dude that Kid Cudi hit," from "Thank You Freestyle"].
Kid Cudi: It wasn’t a shot, it’s just a simple-ass rhyme by a simple-ass rapper. You can’t let that shit faze you. That’s one of those raps that just shows the world that you wack. Why would you even use that as a metaphor? Everybody think they Hov. Niggas ain’t got the magic like they think they do; there’s only a couple of wizards in this game. I’m a wizard and I know it.
Are your peers not seeing that?
Kid Cudi: The last album, I let people dis me, throw out those jabs in their verses and have their little slick remarks. This time around, I’m not fucking around. I have no time to think about other niggas. These other motherfuckers like feeding off another nigga’s energy, so they mention their name. You hear me talk about niggas? I don’t even talk about Kanye, and that’s my homeboy! They talk about Kanye like they’re bosom buddies with this nigga. Talking about “I be in Hawaii”—man, shut the fuck up, why you got to tell everybody everything? Then people like Wale get mad that ‘Ye ain’t give him no beats—’Ye ain’t give you no beats because we ain’t fucking with your raps. It’s not a conspiracy theory. We don’t fuck with you musically, so we’re not going to provide music for you. The shit is a service, it’s a quality of a certain standard. Niggas are just so thirsty it’s ridiculous. I’ve been eating humble pie forever, and people still call me an asshole. These people don’t know my fucking life—now I’m going to give them something to talk about.
Also talks about his drug usage as well. How you get violated by a cokehead?
Complex: How heavy did the drug use get?
Kid Cudi: I started doing cocaine to get through interviews, ’cause people wanted to know a lot about my personal life and I wasn’t prepared for a 60 Minutes interview every time. Doing bumps I was able to get through the day, but then I would smoke weed to calm me down—it was the only way I could get through the day without people noticing I was doing it.
Did you ever feel like you had a problem?
Kid Cudi: I never thought it was a problem, but I was definitely high-fiving death a couple of times. It took a lot for me to talk about shit like this on the album. I don’t feel like I need to explain myself to anyone besides the fans. My fans don’t believe shit until they hear me say it. And those are true Kid Cudi fans. I want them to know the story.

I'm getting really annoyed with Lil Kim and this whole beef she has with Nicki Minaj. I don't doubt Kim's legacy and power in the hip hop game, however, she loses me with this beef ish. She sounds very bitter and angry in this Thisis50 interview. She's beefing with a new rapper who hasn't even dropped an album yet and who she has years on in the industry. Kim is obviously intimidated by Nicki's new found fame. While Kim was lightening her skin and rearranging her face, Nicki was on the come up (literally) and putting in work.
Kim got the title of "Queen" years ago, and only kept it because there was no other competition. She hasn't done music since 2006 instead, she was in jail and on TV in a dance competition which she lost. And if she continues to try and reclaim fame using beef, then I believe she will ultimately lose this competition too.Nicki Minaj has yet to give her two cents, and if she has a good publicity team, I doubt she will.
I love how she says "Im a real fucking bitch....ain't nothing fake about me." Cue the before and after slide show please....

MyFabolousLife spent over 2 minutes addressing the subliminal shots between JimJonesCapo and himself this past week on Twitter. If you weren't around, Jim took a shot (subliminally) at Fab for allegedly dressing like him in his Body Ya video and Fab responded, subliminally of course. Lamest thing to argue about? Most definitely. No lie, if this escalates into something bigger, it would be the corniest beef in Hip Hop.

T-Pain Clears Up Jay-z Beef & Responds to Fabolous’s Diss

T-Pain called into the Power 105 Morning Show with Ed Lover and Free this morning and revealed why he verbally attacked Jay-z during a show in Vegas this past weekend. It seems as though while everyone else thought it was all good in the hood after the release of “D.O.A”, T-Pain felt like he was being dissed on the low:
This aint the first time I done said it. Nothing has changed. I called Jay and I said can you come out on my set [during Summer Jam] and do the D.O.A song, it’ll be a big look for me and you. I embrace the song, I love the song and don’t get me wrong Jay-z is the best in the game period. I would never say anything different. At that time he said “yo I’m triple booked, I’m in Switzerland right now, I can’t do it”. Then I’m ready to go on stage after Jeezy set and they said “hold on, Jay-z is about to come out with Jeezy” and I said ” Jay-z is in switzerland”. They say “no he’s not, he’s right there” and I look to the side and there’s Jay-z. So he gets on the stage and when he gets to the part where he says “I don’t need anyone smiling at this” he pointed at me and then at the end of the song when I tried to shake his hand, he turned around, gave the mic to someone and said “good riddance”.
T-Pain also went on to say that Jay-z’s manager Jay Brown thought it would be a good idea for him to go on stage during the song, but after the concert Jay-z said during an interview that he didn’t know why T-Pain came up there and he thought T-Pain was a fan at first. He also said he had set up google alerts on Jay-z’s name to see if he would atleast once clarify that he wasn’t talking about T-Pain in the song during his interviews and he never did. T-Pain’s feelings were hurt because he’s a big fan of Jay-z’s so he dissed him in Vegas as a way to gain his attention and get Jay-z to finally address the situation. He tells Ed Lover, that he felt so much better after hearing Jay-z speak on it during his visit to the Ed Lover Morning Show yesterday Morning:
I made it very clear I wasn’t talking about him. I think he’s talented, I don’t think he needs auto tune to sell records but if that’s his prerogative, everybody has a birthday. They don’t have much else to say, they can’t attack my credentials as an artist or my lyrics as an emcee.
Meanwhile, Fabolous took to his twitter page last night and “went in” on T-Pain because someone told him that T-Pain had said “F*ck Fabolous” on his twitter page. Here’s his vent:

Fab then realized the T-Pain page was a fake one with only 900 followers and promptly apologized saying “Ooops, damn I went in”. He also claimed it was not a beef, just twitter fun. T-Pain responded this morning on Power 105 by saying that if he had a problem with someone, he’d go and address them to their face and if Fab had a problem with what he said about Jay-z in Vegas he should have said something. “ I mean if somebody had a problem with Akon and they start dissin him then Im goin back stage and figure whats up”. T-Pain and Fabolous talked last night and everyone is cool.
People use to go on wax with their beefs, now they just use twitter Glad this silly beef is over before it started.

Raekwon took a few minutes to speak on the situation with Joe Budden in between classics like "Incarcerated Scarfaces", "Rainy Dayz", "Daytona 500", and "Verbal Intercourse". After confirming he still has possession of the infamous tape, he went to say the following:
"This is about a kid who gets off on doing blogs. My thing is, I'm a business man, I'm here to make money, take care of my family and keep as many people safe as possible. We not gonna take it there cuz that's little shit... we are grown men. I will never jump out the window to sacrifice the situation with my family for something that ain't worth it.
