World domination. The same old dream. And like 007’s very own James Bond, Dee Ferguson the designer and owner of Devoni Clothing has the same one.
“James bond is the smoothest dude dead or alive, authentic or mythical.”
Dee Ferguson was born and raised in Harlem, New York. Creative. Inventive. Innovative. Original. Only way to live in the city of dreams.
His creative form of fashion was something he felt he could express daily. A form of art where his body became the canvas. He became a new character everyday, whomever he wanted to be.
Never wanting to be in uniform with everyone else..."Anything trendy I went the opposite direction." Inspired by “vintage or innovational styles.”
His love for fashion and designing began early. He enjoyed drawing and began taking specialized art classes as early as junior high school in order to build a portfolio to get into an Art & Design high school. In high school he studied still life art, water painting, fashion illustration, abstract art and took sewing classes which helped improve and shape his creative thoughts.
These different genres of art had an impact on his creations and it can be seen through all of the art forms in every single one of his pieces from the different belts to the t-shirts.

(custom Chris Brown belt) When asked about inspiration Dee Ferguson said, “Sometimes I get inspired by sci-fi movies. . .I'm not so much a fan of them but many of the pieces of clothing the characters wear, well I think they’re dope. The clothing goes with the whole theme of the story or movie set and makes their world that more authentic... that's why like it.”
Being from Harlem he was inspired by the entrepreneurs that drove nice cars and were elegantly styled from their tailored suits to shoes that completed the look...but what completed the man was his ambition. They knew how to make something out of nothing.
Ferguson says “They’re the ones who shined through the darkness ... came out on top with the big lofty apartments and growing empires.”

“Right now my focus is to get others to feel the passion that I have behind creating these pieces because I love each and every belt as if it were my own. Devoni belts are 100% leather, any fatigue designs or distressing of the belts are done by hand.”
He’s designed belts for musicians and artists such as, J.Cole, Luda Chris, Jim Jones, Diggy Simmons, Chris Brown and others.

“Not so far from now I see Devoni being a successful lifestyle brand that I have built to compliment all walks of life for those who are into quality and conservative living. I would also like to see Devoni collaborations with different sports cars and with other great artist... Packaging the best of both our worlds... I'm only 21 now and plan to grow with Devoni.”
So the answer to that question is ... nothing but greatness.
