Last week, Casey Veggies came out to Seattle with XV for a show. I caught up with him during an in-store appearance at Recess. We talk about why he decided to branch away from Odd Future and wanting to be his own brand. "CDC" was a big record for Dom Kennedy but he was hesitate about putting it out. I asked Casey if he knew it was going to be a big success and the possibility of doing a mixtape with Dom and cARTer. He did a record with Juicy J called "Make It Happen" and he gives the back story on how they ended up working. One of the topics I wanted to know about most was his meeting with Jay-Z. He didn't go into many details but said Roc Nation could be a possible deal in the future. The re-release of Sleeping In Class is coming in August on iTunes and he'll be on Mac's Blue Slide Park tour this Fall.
